British merchant ship MV Hartland Point in Valletta Port

The British merchant ship MV Hartland Point - Point class sealift - has sailed into Valletta Port (the Grand Harbour) this morning on a four-day informal visit. 

MV Hartland Point is owned by Foreland Shipping. The Point class sealift ships are ordinary merchant ships (owned Foreland Shipping) and leased to the U.K.'s Ministry of Defence, as and when needed, to carry military cargoes and vehicles.

MV Hartland Point is presently in the Mediterranean as part of Royal Navy's Cougar-12 deployment, together with HMS Illustrious, HMS Bulwark, HMS Northumberland, HMS Montrose and RFA Mounts Bay.

MV Hartland Point is presently berthing afloat in Dock-4 (at Palumbo SY, in French Creek), and she's expected to sail from Malta on Friday, November 23th, at 1300LT.
