Malaysia B738 veers off the runway on landing at Sibu, nose-gear collapses

A Malaysia Airlines Boeing 737-800 (9M-MXX), performing flight MH-2718 from Kuala Lumpur to Sibu (Malaysia) with 61 passengers and six crew, landed on Sibu's RWY 13 in heavy rain at about 22:10L (14:10Z) but went off the side of the runway and came to a stop on soft ground with the nose gear collapsed, the aircraft heading about perpendicular to the runway center line with the nose towards the runway edge.
