Indian Navy INS Tarangini calls at Valletta Port

The Indian Navy INS Tarangini (A 75) has sailed into Valletta Port (the Grand Harbour) this morning on a four-day courtesy visit. 

INS Tarangini is a three-masted barque.  She is square rigged on the fore and main masts and fore-and-aft rigged on the mizzen mast.  

INS Tarangini was built by Goa Shipyard Ltd., India, to a design by the British naval architect Colin Mudie.  She was commissioned in the Indian Navy on 11-Nov-1997 as a sail training ship.

The Indian training ship is presently berthing alongside at Deep Water Quay-1, and she's expected to sail from Valletta Port on Wed, May 23rd. (20-May-2018)
